A few weeks ago, I wrote about the beauty and fashion hacks that I’ve fallen in love with, and I was inspired by your feedback to share more of my favorite things, whether tried-and-true or new obsessions that I decided to continue this list as a monthly edit.
This month, Gap launched a new collection in collaboration with Cult Gaia, blending everyday classics with Cult Gaia’s fashion-forward, architectural, and organic designs. This collaboration feels effortlessly cool and quite wearable. Parts of the collection are already sold out (although you can always keep an eye out at your local stores for returns), but these leather pants, this classic sweatshirt, and this backless classic shirt are in my cart. And though I’ve never worn denim from Cult Gaia, Gap denim is so classic that I’m eyeing this asymmetrical jacket and maxi skirt too.
I finally finished reading the novel Yellowface by R.F. Kuang, and it’s a wild story about a white author who steals an unpublished manuscript from her Chinese friend, creating a never-ending web of deception. I don’t know if this genuinely belongs on a list of things I love, but I couldn’t stop reading it because it’s fascinating, and I really want to hear everyone’s thoughts about it. It’s like watching a car crash and not being able to look away, but instead it’s a book exploring themes of identity, race, cultural appropriation, and internet cancel culture. Who else has read this?? Tell me all your thoughts!
