A few months ago, I shared some of my favorite beauty and fashion hacks, and your feedback inspired me to keep the favorites coming. As a reminder, these are not sponsored; they are simply some current obsessions and things I’m grateful for. Here’s the November edit!
When my usual Fenty Matchstix contour shade was out of stock, I stumbled upon this new brand, and I was so impressed by both the product and the brand as a whole. Recognized by Forbes, Allure, Vogue, and Oprah Magazine, LYS is making waves in the clean beauty world. In their own words, LYS is a black-owned, affordable, clean beauty cosmetics brand with all products under $30. I’ve been using the No Limits Cream Bronzer Stick, which is super creamy, highly pigmented, and blends easily.
I’m the first person to be skeptical about unnecessary products packaged as wellness, but this journal was recently gifted to me, and it’s truly such a gem. Journaling is such an incredible tool for self-reflection, and using this has become my favorite part of my morning routine. It includes prompts asking what you're grateful for and what your intentions are for the day. For me, it’s a simple, mindful way to start my day feeling grounded and at home within myself.
Olive oil is one of those delights that makes me embrace aging. I could not possibly have had an opinion on olive oil in my early 20s, and now I can tell you which one I’d like for my sourdough and which I’d like to use in a salad dressing. Brightland olive oil is 11/10. It’s consciously crafted by local farmers on the West Coast. It’s high quality, safely packaged, and the ingredients in their blends are impeccably sourced. I fell in love with Brightland when they made a Castelveterano specific oil (it’s waitlisted), but there are a whole series of incredible options, including a newly released Pizza Oil.
